from DivaPixie! a.k.a.
Fools and Jewels. Beautiful wire wrapping in copper.
She has quite an eclectic mix in her studio, and I really like the steampunk. Here are some of my favorites:
What a crazy-beautiful clockwork piece!
And these are gorgeous:
Ya' know, I've had a few wire wrappers tell me that it's "actually pretty easy" or "not as hard as it looks." Nonsense. I know it must take a lot of patience and practice just to have your loops consistent, and figuring out how to get the most from each gauge/type of wire...
I tip my hat to DivaPixie, and all the other wonderful and talented wire-wrappers I've met on Artfire-the best place to shop for handmade gifts.
This Drunkenmimes Ecclectic LadyLand Jewelry, signing off. Happy Wednesday.
Artisan and crafter here to explore that which is the stuff of life

Rock 'N Wrap Giveaway
Wire wrappers! Win this lot of 24 stones. All you have to do to enter is promote an item from my studio ( Drunkenmimes' handmade jewelry and gifts ) by using Twitter, or Facebook, or your blog. There is no limit to how many times you can enter. Just post what you did as a comment here, and make sure I have a way to contact you if you win. You can also leave links to your promotion if possible. Winner will be chosen Wed, Aug 18th.
There are 24 different polished stones, but I can't professionally identify them or their sources. It looks like there is dalmatian jasper, amethyst, obsidian, quartz, and lapis. They will all be mailed to you promptly if you win, free, and I also, of course, pay for shipping. Update, a helpful artisan has helped identify more of these. The pastel green above the amethyst is aventurine, the pale blue&white is sodalite, and the black one with white markings is snowflake obsidian. More photos:
